He was very responsive, and within 15 minutes we scheduled an appointment for him to come out later the same day to provide a free quote. In our chat, he mentioned that he wouldn't be able to haul it away same-day, and I appreciated him setting expectations. When he arrived, he gave us a quote that was incredibly reasonable...we had estimated that it would be slightly less for us to rent a truck and take it to the dump and pay to dispose of it, ourselves, not including our own time. On top of that, he took all of our dirt, on the spot, exceeding the expectation set! It was refreshing to deal with a business that was so honest and communicative, under-promising and over-delivering. He didn't want to blind quote us for the job or commit to a removal timeline and price without seeing the full scope of the work. He wanted to avoid disappointing the customer if the job was bigger than expected or more costly. Other companies we have used work in the opposite way: throw out a low number, then show up and raise the price, knowing that you are already in a position where you are likely to just pay it to save yourself the time of finding someone else to come out and quote it and do the job.
